Puppy #3: Hanalei
On May 28th, 2010 I picked up my third puppy, Hanalei!
She had the droopiest little eyes and the shortest little legs I have ever seen! I was 100% in love with her from the beginning. We called her a pure soul because she never ever did anything wrong on purpose. She slept through the night the first night and when I woke up at 10:00 the next morning I had a panic attack because I thought for sure she was dead! No puppy would sleep all the way through the night and then not get me up the next morning on the first day!
She had the best personality! She was super mellow and easy going but she had SO much confidence! I don't think we ever found anything that scared her.
On her last evaluation before turn-in we were told by our CFR that she was going to be recomending her for breeder!
Unfortunately though, they found a cataract in one of her eyes and she was career changed.
But everything worked out exactly how it should because she is now an assistance dog for a young woman in a wheelchair! They adore eachother and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
